In April 2012, I set out on my USA discovery tour. I’ve finally gotten around to writing about it!

The 14 hour flight from Sydney was uneventful aside from noticing that United Airlines flight attendants are a fair bit older (and grumpier) than their Australian Virgin and JetStar counterparts. So, pretty much on par with QANTAS cabin crew.

My mate, David, a fellow Perth lad, now LA man about town, took me on what he called his “Trashy LA Tour”. On possibly the soggiest day of the year, we ventured out to Hollywood Boulevard to see the sights like the Chinese Theatre, Walk of Fame and the Hollywood sign.
