Sassy’s Red by Chinta Ria, Westfield Sydney

I love Chinta Ria. So it was inevitable that I would try Simon Goh’s, Sassy’s Red. It’s part of the glitzy Westfield Sydney Food Court. Offering what they describe as a “Malaysian Coffee Shop obsessed with jazz”, Sassy’s Red enters Sydney’s vibrant but crowded Malaysian food scene. I really wanted to love Sassy’s Red but they lost points for a few of their dishes.

Din Tai Fung Dumpling Bar, Westfield Sydney

Din Tai Fung was one of the restaurants I’d been super excited about since the new section of the Westfield Sydney food court opened. I’ve been a fan of the World Square establishment for some time but it’s rare that I get down there. So to have a more local offering just a few minutes walk from work is a blessing. I’ve been twice since it’s opened. And both times, I’ve introduced friends to its awesomeness which is always somewhat fulfilling.
